Abducted by blog hop 7.20.2012

I feel bad that I've been taking such long breaks from my blog posts and then coming back only to participate in meme's! But I liked this weeks question on the blog hop so much that I just had to give an answer!

hosted by Crazy For Books!

What’s the ONE super-hyped book you’ll NEVER read?
I almost hate to say it because I know that so many of you, including some of my very close friends, aren't going to be to happy about this. But my answer is...

Let me stress that my choice to pass on this book is not because I think it will be bad or that I simply wont like it. I'm sure I would like it just fine. In the same way that I found Delirium by Lauren Oliver, Legend by Marie Lu, and Glow by Amy Kathleen Ryan to all be books that were "just fine". I liked them, but I didn't looooooooove them.

Many of you may comment on this post saying "No, Courtney, you have to read this one! Four is amazing! At least read it for him!" To which I may say, "Okay, I'll try. Maybe some day..."

Guess what, I'm lying! I may keep it on my tbr list on goodreads and maybe, just maybe, the day may come when I get truly desperate for a book suggestion and so I break down and read it. Never say Never, right? But trust me, the likelihood of that happening is slim to none!

Wow, I don't even know how to respond to this, Bittner! You don't post for awhile and then you slam any chance for a Divergent intervention?! lol, it's okay though. I really liked the first book, but the second was just okay. I am glad I read it, but I honestly think your life will still be fairly complete and meaningful without reading Divergent. You are totally missing out on Four, but that's just less competition, right? ;)

I'm so sad. Four is great. And Divergent is way better than those books you thought were just okay. WAY better. And... this may be the thing that sways you, I hope it is, but the audio for Divergent is AMAZING. I got a speeding ticket listening to it because it got my heart racing and my foot just hit the gas as I flew through the dessert.

I read Divergent, and I thought it was just ok, just like I thought it would be, but I did love Insurgent! Haha :)

Great post! Check out my post.

This one breaks my heart. I respect your decision, but you don't know what you're missing out on! Four is just... sigh. And it's full of action. And Veronica Roth was really nice. I think it's one of the best dystopians out there but... I get it, because I feel the same way about other books.

Adorable Blog....NEW FOLLOWER.

Love your header.

I haven't heard of your choice, but my answer is the popular one of the week. :)

Stop by if you want to see my full answer, but I am sure you can guess what book I chose. :)
